Pop Star Diva Camp!

Come join show choir!! If you would like to be involved in a fun way to enhance your singing and dancing abilities in a group setting. This class is for you! 

In show choir you will learn the techniques of singing with proper breathe control, pitch and getting your voice stronger in every way. You will also learn ear training and how to harmonize. We will learn these techniques with fun songs from several of the following genres; pop, country, broadway, patriotic and contemporary christian songs. The songs will be sung with a combination of solos and group harmonies as well as choreography.  

We will work on singing with feeling, phrasing, harmonizing, improvising and stage presence along with choreography for each song.

Campers are expected to bring a snack and lunch daily.

AGES:  10 - 16

VISUAL ARTS Summer Classes

Summer Art Classes by The Art Haven at The Fountain Inn Center for Visual & Performing Arts.  Classes will include drawing, painting, watercolor & pottery for Kindergarten, Children, Teens & Adults.

Please join us for our unique and flexible classes this summer.  Classes will run June 11th - August 1, 2013 with a one week break July 1-7, 2013.

KinderART (K4 – K5)

Tuition is $150 and includes all supplies.

A variety of classes where students will learn simple techniques such as sketching shapes, color wheel, texture, basic perspective and 3-D through clay projects.

Materials that are used in class will be graphite, oil pastel, markers, ink, watercolors, tempera paints and clay.  Classes are 1 hour long.  See schedule for days and various times available.

Multi Media Children (Grades 1–5)

Handbuilt Clay/Potter’s Wheel:

Tuition: $180 (Includes clay, glazes & firing)

Classes will be defined by basic hand built clay techniques as well as fundamentals on the potters' wheel.

Projects will include slab, coil, pinch, relief, impressions, sculptures, the use of slip, glazing and learning how things are fired in the kiln. 

All students will work on the wheel making cups, bowls, vases and more.  Classes are 2 hours long.  See schedule for days and various times available.

Theatre Camps:

Join us for fun, adventure and lots of theatre instruction during one (or both) of our Theatre camps!

Lords and Ladies ages 11-15 will love to be a part of this camp where they learn all about the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. As the campers learn about this long-lasting legend, they will prepare to do a fully staged production of Arthur of Camelot at the end of the camp. Aside from learning about making costumes, sets and props, campers will also explore stage combat and sword fight choreography in this exciting two week camp.

Campers are expected to bring a snack and lunch daily.

Drum/Band Camps:

Drumline: The Early Years

This camp will be an opportunity for rising first or second year marchers to work on the basics of the marching drum line before they jump in for the full camps at their respective schools. Instruction will be available in all of the instruments of the marching drum line as well as basics in marching technique and tips from veterans on the day to day experience of marching band. 

Campers are expected to bring a snack with them.  LUNCH will NOT be served during this time.

"Leap in to Music"

This camp will be an opportunity for rising Middle School students who are new to the world of Band and playing a musical instrument to learn the basics of the instrument under the instruction of professional musicians and educators.  Areas of instruction will be instrument maintenance and care, basic theory and music reading, classroom and performance etiquette and ensemble performing.

Campers are expected to bring a snack.  LUNCH will NOT be served during this time.
